Description: A letter delivered to Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle by a group of legal and labor experts and public school teachers demanding that she retract unfounded threats to withhold a pay raise promised to educators. In response to the Hawaii Board of Education’s decision not to divert money from Hawaii’s classrooms to fund a random teacher drug testing program, Governor Lingle threatened to deny teachers a pay raise included in their current contract.
