American
Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania is the affiliate
of the ACLU that is leading the case Kitzmiller
et al. v. Dover Area School District challenging
ID in public classrooms.
National
Center for Science Education reviews anti-evolution
activity in the U.S. and the world, provides background
to ID and resources for parents, teachers
and school boards. There are
also numerous article links on Of
Pandas and People, the book that first proposed
ID in 1989, and a list
of eight major court decisions against teaching creationism. Voices
for Evolution is a project of NCSE to collect the full diversity
of organizations and perspectives in support of teaching evolution in the public
schools.
The
Discovery Institute's Center for Science
and Culture, wrote a plan titled the "Wedge
Document," which was an internal memo that was
leaked onto the web about the organization's goals to
end the teaching of evolution. The Discovery Institute
