President Trump and his allies in Congress have conspired to supercharge ICE’s budget to fuel the most extreme expansion of immigration detention in our nation’s history, with a record-shattering 60,000 people detained right now and far more underway. From erecting tent camps on military bases to big private prisons, the Trump administration is on a spending spree and the number of people detained will skyrocket over the next three years.

The administration is trying to stop Members of Congress from visiting these immigration detention facilities – despite the fact that they are legally authorized to do so for oversight. But our communities have a right to know how their taxpayer dollars are funding Trump and Stephen Miller’s cruel agenda to detain and deport our immigrant neighbors and loved ones – and Congress has a responsibility to conduct oversight and hold ICE accountable. That’s why we must keep fighting: Urge Members of Congress to demand access to detention facilities and fight for real accountability. Let’s shut down the ICE detention machine now.

Building tent camps for immigrants and deploying masked deportation squads to terrify our neighbors and loved ones are part of President Trump and Stephen Miller’s draconian mass detention and deportation agenda. The bottom line is that this system is fundamentally inhumane, unnecessarily costly, and continues to put lives at risk: Please conduct oversight and demand accountability against ICE’s cruel, abusive mass detention machine now.
