New Mexico v. Martinez (03/09/2007)
The Women's Rights Project, Reproductive Freedom Project, and ACLU of New Mexico joined in an amicus effort before the New Mexico Supreme Court to help challenge the arrest and prosecution of Cynthia Martinez, a mother who continued her pregnancy to term in spite of her struggle with drug addiction.

Lewis v. North End Village, et al. (02/21/2007)
WRP filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of a domestic violence victim who faced eviction from her private apartment due to property damage caused by her abuser.

Boswell v. GumBayTay, et al. (02/14/2007)
WRP filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of a tenant who was sexually harassed by her housing manager.

Case Profile - Sabbithi, et al. v. Al Saleh, et al. (01/17/2007)
The suit charges the country of Kuwait and a Kuwaiti diplomat and his wife with trafficking three women and forcing them to work as domestic employees and childcare workers against their will under slavery-like conditions.

Simpson v. University of Colorado (08/24/2006)
In August 2006, the WRP and the ACLU Racial Justice Program, joined by the ACLU of Colorado, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., Legal Momentum, the National Partnership for Women and Families and many other leading civil rights and women’s rights organizations filed a friend-of-the-court brief in this matter on behalf of the appellants Lisa Simpson and Anne Gilmore.

Bouley v. Young-Sabourin (04/18/2005)
WRP submitted an amicus brief in a federal lawsuit brought by a woman who received an eviction notice after her husband was arrested for assault.

ACLU Represents New York City Custodial Workers in Discrimination Case

Warren v. Ypsilanti Housing Commission (02/06/2002)
The ACLU represented a domestic violence victim who was threatened with eviction from public housing.
