Dear Mr. Pruneau:

On March 28, 2011 we wrote to request that the Rochester Community Schools stop filtering LGBTrelated websites. In your response you stated that the school district is “in the process of reviewing the filtering rules in the software to determine if there is anything that specifically blocks websites such as those referenced in your letter.” We believe that the simplest and most appropriate response to this problem is for the school district to simply remove the filter category that blocks websites characterized as “Society and Culture.” Please let me know if you are available for a telephone call so we can discuss how to bring this matter to a prompt resolution.
