Semiannual Assessment of Compliance with Procedures and Guidelines Issued Pursuant to Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, Submitted by the Attorney General and the Director of National Intelligence (December 2013 - May 2014)

This report covers the period of December 1, 2013 to May 31, 2014. The Joint Assessment found that the agencies are complying with the guidelines and requirements of Section 702. The Joint Assessment found that there are processes in place to implement compliance controls. The report notes that compliance incidents were a small percentage of overall collection activity, which had increased from the last Joint Assessment. Following a review of the compliance incidents, the report found that none of these incidents were an intentional attempt to violate Section 702.
