ACLU Vote Recommendation Opposing Garrett Amendment to H.R. 2577, the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2016

This vote recommendation, sent on June 4 2015 to the House of Representatives, calls on Representatives to oppose Rep. Scott Garrett’s (R-NJ) Amendment to H.R. 2577, the fiscal year 2016 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (“T-HUD”) Appropriations Act of 2016. Rep. Garrett’s Amendment would prohibit the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) from using funds made available in the FY 2016 T-HUD appropriations bill for finalizing, implementing, and enforcing its disparate impact rule.
