Letter to Congress Urging End to End Gun Research Ban

Following the mass shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, the ACLU joined more than 170 organizations in this letter to Congress, urging for a repeal of the Dickey Amendment, effectively a ban on federally funded research into gun violence. The letter also urges Congress to fund research into the causes, effects, and evidence-based prevention of gun violence.
